The annual Perkins Cove Halloween Celebration is a wickedly good time for children and adults alike. Each year costumed revelers descend on The Cove for trick or treating, costume contests, and family fun activities including a costume parade and contest, trick or treating throughout Perkins Cove, face painting and more on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022. The spooky fun is part of the annual OgunquitFest celebration, held October 21st-23rd. Gather the family or some friends and kick off Halloween a little early in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit, Maine.
Parking: There are 3 parking lots at the entrance to, and in, Perkins Cove. Find them here.
10am: Meet at Oarweed Restaurant’s parking lot (no parking here allowed, please) - 65 Perkins Cove Rd
10:30am: Halloween Parade followed by Costume Contest - Perkins Cove Rotary Park
Then 'Trick or Treat' until 11:30am - throughout Perkins Cove
12-1:30pm: Face Painting, Rock Painting, Fun Tattoos - Across the Footbridge
The Cove will be alive with joy and holiday cheer for the annual Ogunquit Christmas by the Sea which begins Friday December 9th with special holiday events in Perkins Cove.
From 5-7pm you can join the merriment at Perkins Cove Rotary Park for caroling, s'mores, and cocoa. Wear your favorite ugly holiday sweater or shine in your loveliest festive holiday attire (prizes will be awarded!) Santa Claus will arrive at 5:45 for photos with Santa and the Grinch will make a special appearance. The Perkins Cove Christmas Tree Lighting will be held at 6 pm.
These events are put on by Ogunquit Rotary and Ogunquit Parks and Recreation.
Holiday Food Drive
December 2-11, 2022: we will be collecting food for the St Mary’s food pantry. The drop off location is Perkins Cove Candies in Perkins Cove.
All summer, from early July until early September, Perkins Cove is alive with the sounds of music on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-8pm.
Bring your lawn chair (if you wish), a picnic, and gather your family and friends to enjoy evenings of live music in Ogunquit. All summer long, enjoy concerts featuring a great line-up of local bands performing at Rotary Park in Perkins Cove.
Summer 2022 featured some terrific musical talent and families and friends’ groups flocked to Perkins Cove to enjoy evenings with live music floating across the salty sea air. The summer 2023 music line up will be announced in the spring and promises to be stellar.

About Plein Air 2023
Plein Air painting in (and around) Perkins Cove is a time-honored Ogunquit Art Colony tradition. That’s why all of the artists and art-lovers will be throughout our town, along the Marginal Way and down to Perkins Cove in September 2023 for Ogunquit’s 3rd Annual Perkins Cove Plein Air Painting Festival.
Attend Ogunquit’s 3rd Annual Perkins Cove Plein Air Festival to enjoy the timeless sight of plein air painters in the act of putting brush to canvas in (and around) Perkins Cove — the heart of the Ogunquit Art Colony — begining at 9am. Then in the afternoon, the judging in Perkins Cove for Professional and Amateur awards PLUS the David Lussier Gallery of Excellence Amateur Award. Perkins Cove will also be the site of a Wet Paint Sale where you’ll have the chance to purchase a one of a kind piece from the “beautiful place by sea” that you’ll cherish forever even before the paint is even fully dry! There will also be historical tours, art history talks, artist demonstrations, AND live music in Perkins Cove!
